VANDERHOOF, B.C. — Two people armed with a gun walked into a convenience store on Burrard Street in Vanderhoof Tuesday (July 20) morning and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

RCMP said they immediately attended the store and spoke to the lone employee. It was learned that the pair, armed with a gun and what appeared to be a crowbar, demanded money from the employee before fleeing on foot.

After reviewing surveillance footage and getting assistance from police dog service, RCMP attended a residence where both suspects, and a resident of the house, were arrested without incident.

There were no reports of injuries during the alleged robbery and the investigation is continuing.
