DPG reminds business owners of free graffiti program

PRINCE GEORGE – Downtown Prince George, with the help of the City, has been busy removing graffiti from the exterior of downtown businesses.

“The last couple of weeks, we’ve had a little better weather to get out there. So we’ve had a really major accomplishment in terms of getting to that graffiti.”

But it also gives Downtown Prince George a chance to remind business owners there is a free graffiti-removal program that requires nothing more than a call to 3-1-1 to report being tagged.

Graffiti is vandalism that leaves property owners with added expenses to cover the costs of removal. Graffiti that is ignored plays a role in creating an unsightly property that increases anxiety and economic concerns while also adding to general feelings of lawlessness.
