Restaurants can keep patios longer
PRINCE GEORGE – A rule-change issued by the Province in March to allow for liquor to be served in public places, like sidewalk patios, has been extended.
“Essentially the Temporary Expanded Service Agreement has streamlined at the red tape to allow us to do something like this, whether it’s on public or private property,” explains Eoin Foley, Owner of Nancy O’s.
The “something like this” he is referencing is a patio on the street outside his restaurant where he is allowed to serve liquor. When the rules were changed in March, a number of restaurants and pubs set up temporary tents and tables on the streets and in parking lots.
