Cougars release two forwards

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars released two forwards after they cleared Western Hockey League (WHL) waivers.

Ethan Browne, 20, spent four seasons with the Cougars. In the shortened WHL Hub season in 2021, Browne scored four goals and six assists in 17 games, while also serving as an alternate captain.

Elsewhere, 19-year-old Davin Griffin spent two seasons with the Cougars. He scored one assist in 15 games in 2021.

The Cougars’ regular season opener is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 2 at the CN Centre against the Kamloops Blazers.
