Evacuation alert due to Flat Lake wildfire partially lifted

WILLIAMS LAKE — Two evacuation alerts due to the 52,800-hectare Flat Lake wildfire were lifted by the Cariboo Regional District on Tuesday (Aug. 3).

Portions of the Green Lake and Horse Lake-Sheridan Lake alert areas east of 100 Mile House were given an all clear.

However, the District of 100 Mile House 108 Mile Ranch West, along with multiple areas in Horse Lake-Sheridan Lake and Flat Lake, are on evacuation alert.

The Green Lake area still has an active evacuation order in one section, along with an evacuation alert in another.
