Black bear spotted near playground at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park

PRINCE GEORGE – Just after 11 am on Wednesday a black bear was spotted in Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and was perched in a tree for hours.

Around 1 p.m. the bear came down from the tree and proceeded towards the Fraser River away from the park and the playground area.

The tree where the bear was located was within 300 metres of the main playground at the park, and even closer to the water park.
