Man dies in single vehicle crash on Nazko Highway

QUESNEL — Quesnel RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating an early morning single vehicle crash that resulted in the death of one man.

At 5:10 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 3), Quesnel RCMP say they responded to a report of a crash near the 2400 block of Nazko Highway just West of the Blackwater Road.

Police say a Ford F350 pickup was headed eastbound toward Quesnel when it left the roadway, ejecting the sole occupant of the vehicle. Emergency Health Services were quick to arrive on scene, but the driver unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

According to the RCMP’s early investigation, the cause of the accident appears to be fatigue or that the driver had fallen asleep.
