Four Cariboo-Prince George candidates come together for vaccination message before election day
PRINCE GEORGE — Before a member of parliament is determined the Cariboo-Prince George riding, four candidates are crossing party lines for a public health message.
A 19-year-old voter from Williams Lake asked local candidates to release a joint statement encouraging people to get vaccinated.
The Conservatives’ Todd Doherty, the Liberals’ Garth Frizzell, the NDP’s Audrey McKinnon, and the Green’s Leigh Hunsinger-Chang signed off on the message.
We are extremely fortunate to live in a time where safe and highly effective vaccines are available to prevent COVID-19. Vaccinations save lives,” they stated.” Coming together as a community to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is how we can all do our part and contribute to the end of the pandemic while keeping our friends, family, neighbours, and healthcare workers safe.”
