Gas prices reach $157.9 in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — A spike in gasoline prices heading into the Thanksgiving Day long weekend.

According to GasBuddy.com, prices at the pumps in Prince George range from $134.9 at Costco to as high as $157.9 at Superstore and Husky.

Federal government data shows the average national retail price for regular gasoline in Canada hit a record $1.45 per litre this week.

Overall, Canadian fuel prices are more than 40 cents per litre higher than they were last year.
