United Way hosting fundraiser to help out homeless this winter

PRINCE GEORGE– With winter right around the corner, the United Way of Northern British Columbia is hosting a fundraiser over the next couple of days.

From Thursday through Saturday, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, staff and volunteers will be at KMS Tools & Equipment for a fundraising BBQ. There you can not only make a financial contribution but if you’d like you can also donate winter clothing items or non-perishable food items to get a smokie.

The need for winter clothing, including socks, scarves, jackets, boots, toques, and other items for the homeless population and others that don’t have the resources to buy these items, grows exponentially as the winter months go on. With donations, United Way can help provide those individuals with clothing for this upcoming winter.
