Northern Health admits ‘reagent shortage’ as cause of delayed COVID-19 test results
PRINCE GEORGE – After weeks of COVID-19 testing delays here in Prince George, Northern Health has finally admitted a reagent shortage was to blame for the backlog.
Reagents are the main ingredients of any chemical-based test.
Due to the shortage, many tests that are normally done locally at the University Hospital of Northern BC were not able to be processed.
