Small Business Week in Canada, a time to support local

PRINCE GEORGE–The pandemic has been a grim time for many businesses in Prince George.

From constantly having to adapt to ever-changing restrictions, we sometimes forget how hard they work to help provide us with these services. This week in Prince George it’s Small Business Week. A chance for people to recognize and appreciate small businesses in the community.

The Makerie Craft & Coffee Bar is one of those businesses located in Downtown Prince George that has had to constantly adapt during the pandemic. However, owner Kim Hayhurst says it’s helped staff come together during a tough time and that it showed a new perspective on business. However, she is always thankful for the support of her customers and the community.
