Homicide under investigation in 100 Mile House

100 MILE HOUSE — A homicide investigation is underway in 100 Mile House.
RCMP say it happened Tuesday night. They say they were first tipped off following reports of what sounded like gunshots in the industrial area of the community.
North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says police arrived on scene to find a person who had succumbed to their injuries. She says police are still investigating how the person died and the circumstances leading up to the incident.
“Evidence at the scene supports that the victim died as a result of homicide and the North District Major Crime Unit was called and has conduct of the investigation.”
