A new fire hall for Hixon

HIXON — One of biggest financial investments in some time is coming to the community of Hixon.

The Hixon Volunteer Fire Department has received funding for a brand new, three bay fire hall building.

The majority of the funding comes via grant funding of just over $1 million from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

The building will provide additional space for operational and community needs and will be built next to the existing fire hall.
