PRINCE GEORGE – One of the hallmarks of the fall season at the City of Prince George is the public consultation period known as Talktober.

Mayor Lyn Hall is hosting Talktober on Zoom again this year on October 28 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.

“Each October, Council and City Administration look forward to hearing directly from citizens of Prince George about the civic issues that matter to them the most,” says Mayor Hall. “Local government topics such as roads, snow and ice control, civic facilities and infrastructure are among the topics up for discussion during Talktober. Council and City Administration are looking forward to an engaging, energetic conversation with residents.”

Here is how citizens can participate:

  • Register on Eventbrite. The registration is quick and easy. On the day of the meeting (October 28), registered participants will receive an email, which will provide a URL link to the Zoom meeting.
  • During the event, Mayor Hall will call on participants who wish to ask a question in the order the questions are received.
  • Residents may also opt to submit a question ahead of time for possible inclusion during the event. They can email mayoradmin@princegeorge.ca or dial 3-1-1.

The Talktober Town Hall can be watched on Zoom, and will be streamed live on the City Facebook page. The City will also post a recording of the event on YouTube and Facebook.
