PRINCE GEORGE – A major police presence was noticed at the 7-11 on 5th and Ospika around 10 p.m. Friday night. Witnesses confirm there were several police vehicles blocking off entrances heading North on Ospika.

The focus was a home located on the corner of the 100 block of Pioneer and Ospika. The home in question is well known to the police and has been raided before.

CKPG spoke with many residents in the area, who note they often see several people come and go throughout the day and late into the night.

It was also noted that there were several RCMP officers surrounding the home, with guns drawn and police dogs. According to witnesses, the windows of the home were smashed out, and tear gas was thrown in. CKPG obtained a few videos showing several people vacating the home and laying on the ground with their hands behind their back.

Residents of the area would not speak on camera but say they are extremely frustrated with the situation. They blame the landlord and are concerned as to why he has not evicted those tenants yet. They say they are tired of the eyesore the home has become and the trouble it has caused the neighborhood.

CKPG reached out to RCMP for comment on this current raid but have not heard back yet.
