RCMP investigating Friday shooting that seriously injured Williams Lake resident

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A person in Williams Lake was sent to hospital with serious injuries after a reported firearms incident.

Williams Lake RCMP responded shortly before midnight on Friday (Oct. 29) where a person suffering from a gunshot wound was found inside an apartment on the 600-block of Carson Drive.

“This investigation is in it’s very early stages and the Williams Lake RCMP has deployed additional resources while it progresses. The public can expect to see officers in the area as the investigation unfolds,” Cpl. Brett Squire says.

Anyone who observed any suspicious activity in the area overnight is asked to contact Williams Lake RCMP at (250) 392-6211.
