COVID-19 claims the lives of four people from northern B.C.

VICTORIA — COVID-19 has claimed five more lives in B.C., including four people from northern B.C.

That brings the death toll in B.C. since the pandemic began to 2,186.

A total of 406 cases of the virus announced today, that’s up from 332 announced on Monday. Of those cases, 86 were detected in the Northern Health region.

There are 4,694 active cases of COVID-19 in B.C. and of the active cases, 445 people are in hospital, up from 436 yesterday. A total of 137 people are in intensive care, that’s down three from Monday.
