Occupants of George Street encampment moved to supportive housing
Nov 3, 2021 | 10:19 AM
PRINCE GEORGE — City staff helped to relocate the 20 occupants of the encampment on George Street to supportive housing yesterday.
BC Housing and the RCMP also assisted. Temporary fencing has been placed around the site to ensure no further encampments are established.
The move to housing fulfills a recent decision in court to have the encampment removed.
The encampment on Lower Patricia Boulevard will remain until suitable housing is made available.
