COVID-19 death toll reaches 2,200 in B.C.

VICTORIA — The provincial government announced 159 new cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Health region today.

That’s way up from 37 the day before. The province announced 596 cases provincially with hospitalizations sitting at 438.

Sadly, eight new deaths, including three people from northern B.C. It brings the death toll in B.C. since the pandemic began to 2,200.

There are now 4,451 active cases of the virus province-wide, 616 of those cases are in the Northern Health region.
