Cougars drop third straight, lose to Rockets 4-1
Similarly, to Friday’s road game against the Vancouver Giants, the Prince George Cougars opened the scoring Saturday (Nov. 7) in Kelowna but it didn’t translate into a victory against the Rockets.
After a scoreless first period, Koehn Ziemmer scored his third of the season with a power move to the net and snapping it top shelf. However, the Rockets answered back 13 seconds later when Gabriel Szturc tapped the puck into an empty net.
From there, the Rockets scored three unanswered goals en route to a 4-1 win.
The Cougars will return home at the CN Centre Tuesday (Nov. 9) against the Vancouver Giants having dropped three straight games. They’re 5-6-0 on the Western Hockey League season, good for 10 points in 11 games and fourth in the B.C. Division.
