PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George is once again in the spotlight, this time for its creative and talented cake designs.
Jenn Goldie, Heather Nelson, and Katie Stymiest are the cake trio, sought out by ‘The Big Bake’ a show on the Food Network Canada.
The Big Bake: Holiday is a baking competition series with themed episodes. In each episode, three professional baking teams have five hours to design, bake and decorate a grand-scale cake creation based on a holiday theme.
These bakers need to think big and bold, blowing up their designs to gigantic proportions and thinking outside the box. In the end, the most ambitious, eye-popping, and delicious cake will go home with a $10,000 prize.
The competition was fierce, stress levels were rising just like the cakes. However, the trio says it was a pie-opening experience.
“We gave it our very best and we are so incredibly proud of the cake we created! We hope we made you proud PG” explained Jenn Goldie, Owner, Fabulous Cakes by Jenn “We may have lost the competition, however, the wonderful judges told us after that out of 28 episodes they had filmed to date, this was the closest it had ever been and it was not a unanimous decision.”
