Giants’ power-play comes up big in 5-3 win over Cougars
PRINCE GEORGE – The Vancouver Giants stood tall Wednesday night, scoring three times on the power-play as they came away with a 5-3 victory over the Prince George Cougars at the CN Centre.
The Cougars took down the Giants Tuesday night in a 1-0 outing to snap a three-game losing streak they found themselves on after winning five consecutive games against the Victoria Royals.
Tyler Brennan got the start again in net for the Cougars Wednesday night after his 27-save shutout performance the night before. Jesper Vikman manned the pipes for Vancouver.
Vancouver got the scoring underway past the midway mark of the opening period, and they did in bunches.
