PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in an assault that occurred yesterday (Nov.17) morning.

RCMP say it occurred at around 11 a.m. on the 1700 block of 4th Avenue. Police say the victim was a 17-year-old girl.

The suspect is described as a larger built white male, possibly around six feet tall, wearing a black sweater and runners. The victim told police the suspect might have a beard. At the time of the assault, she was wearing a red jacket and carrying a green backpack.

“Investigators do not believe the suspect is known by the victim. We are looking for anyone who was driving in that area between 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. that either witnessed the assault or else has dash cam footage from that time period to contact the detachment to speak with police,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
