Special weather statement issued for Prince George due to strong winds

PRINCE GEORGE- 40-50 km/h gusting to 70-80 km/h winds are expected in Prince George, which has prompted Environment Canada to issue a special weather statement.
The statement is also in effect for Stuart – Nechako, McGregor, Williston, Bulkley Valley and the Lakes District, Peace River, and Highway 97 – Pine Pass. The strong winds are expected to ease into this evening. According to Environment Canada, these winds may toss loose objects or cause small tree branches to break.
