PRINCE GEORGE– Two UNBC students are disappointed with the food offerings at the university and have launched a petition seeking improvements.

The petition started by Keira Emes & Naomi Cole posted on change.org got over 500 student signatures asking the University to make changes about the quality of food in the Agora Dining Hall as well as take a look at the meal plan, and they are overwhelmed by the support.

In the petition, they say the food is often near inedible, being hours old, cold, and dried out from sitting in their trays for too long. They’d also like to see more Fruits & Veggies served or at the very least some more nutritional options.

However, UNBC responded quickly and met with the students in response. Yazan Kanaan, Director of Food Services, says they’re always looking for feedback and it was good to bring this to his attention.

The petition can be found online through the students hope further meetings this week will lead to improvements.
