BC’s daily COVID-19 case count remains in the 300’s
NORTHERN BC- The provincial COVID-19 case count continues to trend downwards, as 324 new cases were identified across BC. For the fourth day in a row, BC’s daily case count has remained in the 300’s. Northern Health accounted for 60 of today’s (Tuesday) new cases, bringing the regions’ active case count to 444. Meanwhile, BC’s active case count is now 3,047.
There was one more death reported in the North as the region currently has 48 people in hospital, 17 of whom are in ICU. Northern Health’s death toll is now 246. Across BC, 345 individuals are in hospital and 115 are in ICU.
From November 15-21, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 58.4% of cases and from November 8-21, they accounted for 69.0% of hospitalizations. This comes as 91.3% (3,950,456) of all eligible adults in BC have received their first dose and 87.9% (3,803,087) have received their second dose.
