PRINCE GEORGE– The speech from the throne marked the opening of the 44th Parliament today.
Priority number one remains to get the pandemic under control. That was the biggest takeaway from this morning’s Throne Speech, which initiated the opening of the 44th Parliament. Other topics covered included gun control, building the economy, climate change, child care, and reconciliation however details were very scarce.
This sitting of parliament will continue until December 17.
