Northern Health’s COVID-19 death toll increases

NORTHERN BC- Northern Health’s COVID-19 death toll is now 246 after five more people passed away in the region. A total of nine new deaths were reported across the province.

The provincial case count continues to trend downwards, as BC saw 322 cases. Of these new cases, 44 were found in Northern Health. The North now has 415 active cases while 48 people are in hospital, 17 of whom are in ICU. BC’s active case count is now 3,015. There are currently 18 individuals in hospital and 109 are in intensive care.
