Hart Ski Hill believes warm winter weather isn’t a problem yet

PRINCE GEORGE– The unseasonably warm temperatures have meant a delayed start to winter activities.

With temperatures reaching a high of 8 degrees early this week as we head into December, what’s behind it? A local meteorologist says it’s yet another sign of Climate Change. According to Peter Jackson, it’s the biggest reason we are experiencing these warm the cold temperatures.

Some might be worried because of the warm temperatures what it might mean for ski hills. However, Casey Johnson, the director of the Hart Ski hill, isn’t worried as he believes mother nature will eventually do her thing and the local hill will get up and running soon.

According to Environment Canada, there’s a 60% chance of flurries on Sunday and Monday. The Hart Ski Hill plans to open for the season on December 18th.
