PRINCE GEORGE—Roll out the red carpet and get ready. After months of filming, editing, and waiting, A Great North Christmas will be premiering this weekend in Prince George.

The Christmas romance movie will be shown to a small number of people due to COVID restrictions, but Producer Norm Coyne says that there will be an emphasis on treating everyone like stars as a thank you for the hard work to put the movie together.

“This, very much is going to be a true red carpet affair. People are going to be showing up, walking through the red carpet surrounding by Christmas trees and everything like that….For me it’s really important that everybody feels like they’re a star.” said Coyne.

The film is already streaming on Crackle, which is a U.S. streaming service. However, Coyne says there is a deal in place to distribute it across Canada and details will be given soon.

They are also considering other options such as releasing straight to TV or in theatres so that the public can enjoy.

“I do have some friends in the U.S. who have seen it and we’ve gotten pretty glowing praise so far from everybody stateside, so that’s really special.” said Coyne.
