PRINCE GEORGE —Update: The electrical issue has been resolved and school will be back in session at DP Todd Secondary School tomorrow (Dec.3).

Update: School District 57 says there was smoke, but no fire at DP Secondary today. The smoke came from an electrical fault and forced the evacuation of the school just before 12:00 p.m.

A decision has not been made yet on whether or not the school will be open tomorrow.

We’ll update this story as soon as we find out.

Earlier: DP Todd Secondary School has been evacuated.

It happened just before the lunch hour and it’s due to a fault in the electrical room. Prince George Fire Rescue is on scene and there are no reported injuries.

Students are not allowed back in the school while emergency crews deal with the electrical issue.

School District 57 says the kids are all safe and that they have been taken to a muster station at Heritage Elementary. Parents can pickup their kids if they wish to do so.
