Spruce Kings shut out Silverbacks 5-0, prepare for three straight against Bucks
PRINCE GEORGE — Another chance for the Prince George Spruce Kings to prove they can hang with the best in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).
Three days after a tough 5-1 home loss to the Penticton Vees, the Spruce Kings went into Salmon Arm on Saturday (Dec. 4) and shut out the second place Silverbacks 5-0.
Jordan Fairlie made 18 saves for his first shutout of the 2021-22 BCHL season.
The Spruce Kings are 11-7-0, good for 22 points in 18 games and fourth in the Interior Division. They host the Cranbrook Bucks on Thursday (Dec. 9) for the first of three head-to-head games at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
