Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Quesnel assault

QUESNEL — A 36-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following an assault in Quesnel.

RCMP say the incident occurred last night (Dec.8) at the Northern Network of Peers for Equality on St. Laurent Street. Police were notified about the assault just before 7:30 p.m.

“The suspect, who has been identified, and the victim, are known to each other and police do not believe there is any further risk to the public,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.
