Cougars win fifth in a row, defeat Blazers 5-2
KAMLOOPS — The Prince George Cougars tied their season best winning streak at five games by beating the Kamloops Blazers on the road 5-2 Friday (Dec. 17).
The Cougars and Blazers traded goals in the first and second periods and were deadlocked at 2-2 going into the third. Craig Armstrong snuck the puck past Blazers goalie Dylan Ernst after being sprung on a breakaway by Riley Heidt to put the Cougars up for good.
The Cougars improved to 13-14 in 27 games, good for 26 points and fourth in the Western Hockey League B.C. Division.
The Cougars are back on the road Saturday (Dec. 18) against the Vancouver Giants.
