RCMP cruiser damaged in collision with garbage truck

PRINCE GEORGE – A Prince George RCMP cruiser was badly damaged in a collision with a truck transporting garbage on Friday around noon.

The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 16 and Westgate Avenue, closing the highway traffic for over an hour.

Traffic was detoured along a frontage road but was backed up.

Nobody was injured in the collision, the cause is still under investigation.
