Prince Rupert RCMP respond to nearly one mental health related call every day in 2021
PRINCE RUPERT: The Prince Rupert RCMP responded to 358 mental health related filed in 2021, nearly one for every single day in the calander year. A total 8,435 files, with 636 resulting in charge recommendations.
In addition, 77 impaired driving related files were made, 21 of which resulted in charges being laid. There were 24 related to COVID-19 and 21 related to November’s windstorm. 48 check stops were conducted as well.
