Cougars’ cold streak continues in 2022, fall to Blazers 7-1
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars’ cold streak to end 2021 carried over into 2022.
After losing four straight at the end of December, the Cougars were blown out 7-1 on the road by the Kamloops Blazers. Hudson Thornton’s goal ended the Blazers’ bid for a shutout.
The Cougars sit with a 13-17-1-1 record in 32 games, good for a tie for fourth in the B.C. Division and tie for seventh in the Western Hockey League Western Conference with the Victoria Royals. However, Victoria has two games in hand.
The two teams meet Friday (Jan. 7) at the CN Centre to begin a pair of crucial weekend games.
