Over 21K raised in Ness Lake Bible Camp’s Polar Bear Dip

At 8 a.m., Ness Lake Bible Camp Facilities Manager Joe “The Ice Man” Klassen and his team used chainsaws to cut through 12 inches of ice to create a 15 by 30-foot hole. The camp says a crew of seven volunteers spent two hours shoveling the snow and removing the blocks of ice to get ready.

Last years public Polar Bear Dip was eventually cancelled because of COVID-19 restrictions. A small private dip was put on for three fundraisers who brought in a record $30,000.

Ness Lake Bible Camp states it hopes to be able to run all its programs for children this summer.
