Talent needed in upcoming Prince George movie

PRINCE GEORGE- Local aspiring actors and actresses have an exciting new opportunity. A casting call for ‘Meeting Mr.Christmas’, an upcoming film being shot in Prince George was posted. Production Manager and Producer, Jana Phillips says there is a variety of spots that need to be filled, including four lead roles and plenty of background roles.

“We’re going to need a lot of people for our carnival scene, and we also need kids for the carnival as well as the Christmas carol competition,” she explained.

Two of the four lead roles will require singing. The chosen lead actors will be working alongside Marc Anthony Messiah, who was recently featured in ‘MAID’, a popular limited drama series on Netflix.

Residents can audition for the following lead roles:

• Emma Addison, 12-15 year old girl (role involves singing)
• Miss Morrison, woman in her late 20’s to early 30’s (role involves singing)
• Izzy, woman in her 30’s
• Jack, any aged man

The casting call closes on Friday with the roles expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Phillips’ says opportunities like this are so exciting because the experience of being on a movie set is unlike any other.

“We’ve had a lot of response and it’s been really great… and a lot of different response than we’ve had from our last christmas movie and the movie that we made, ‘The Way to the Heart’, in the spring,” she said.
