The Cougars sweep midweek doubleheader against the Royals

PRINCE GEORGE -The Prince George Cougars (17-17-1-1) are riding a four game win streak ,with a 4-1 victory and a doubleheader sweep of the Victoria Royals (12-18-4-0) last night at CN Centre.

Koehn Ziemmer was red- hot ,scoring the Cougars’ first two goals of the game and finished with three points. Jonny Hooker and Riley Heidt each scored empty-net goals late in the third period to seal the deal . Ty Young earned his second win of the season, as he stopped 22 of 23 shots in the Prince George net.

With the win , the Cats have climbed back up to the five hundred mark for the first time since November 9th. Prince George hosts the Kamloops Blazers tomorrow (Friday ) night at 7. The same two teams meet again Saturday night in Kamloops .
