Fish spill all over Highway 16 following semi rollover near Vanderhoof

VANDERHOOF —Update: A single lane detour is now available to light traffic only at Jardine and Lund Roads.

Drive BC now estimates the highway will fully reopen at 12:30 this afternoon.

Earlier: Avoid Highway 16 east of Vanderhoof if you can.

RCMP say a semi has rolled over and lost its load of fish. It happened at 7:15 a.m.

Luckily the driver was not injured though the highway is expected to be closed for several hours as crews clean up.
