Mackenzie Fire-Rescue crews kept busy last night

MACKENZIE – Just before 7 last night, The District of Mackenzie Fire-Rescue Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Hunter road.
According to Fire Chief Jamie Guise, when crews arrived, they saw fire outside of the home. Five residents were home at the time and escaped without injuries.
Fourteen firefighters responded to the residential blaze. The quick response from emergency crews prevented the fire from spreading into the living space.
