New manufactured homes in demand

PRINCE GEORGE – Since the pandemic started, we have repeatedly heard about Prince George’s lack of home inventory stock. The availability of new manufactured homes has also become limited. However, the lack of new manufactured homes may benefit those looking to buy.

The lot at Hart Modular Homes has one home on its show lot. Jesse Jamieson with Hart Modular Homes says he can sell the home but chooses to keep it for clients who prefer to see a modular home before they buy.

According to director Brenne Cote on the BC Northern Real Estate Board says, some clients cannot purchase a detached home because of the short supply; therefore, they’re switching gears and are starting to look at new modular homes on acreage.

Even though the wait for new modular homes may be months away, Jamieson says the delay is a great time to order the right home that fits your lifestyle.
