Burns Lake’s Olympian Emily Dickson finishes 70th

BEIJING – In her first event as an Olympian, Burns Lake’s Emily Dickson placed 70th in the women’s 15km individual Biathlon race on Monday.

In the field of 87 women, Prince George’s Sarah Beaudry finished 80th.

Just a few days prior, the 27-year-old Beaudry was selected to compete in the Mixed 4×6 kilometre relay. Canada placed 14th out of 20 teams.

The two will now look ahead to the remaining events for Biathlon remaining.
