Spruce Kings look to continue 18 game point streak against Silverbacks this weekend

PRINCE GEORGE– Dec 18th, 2021, That’s the last time the Prince George Spruce Kings lost a hockey game without at least getting a point. The team is currently on an 18 game point streak something that many players on the team haven’t been a part of in their lifetime.

Head Coach Alex Evin is proud of his team which has shown resilience in a tough Interior Division. The team’s secret, not worrying about the streak and taking it game by game.

The Spruce Kings went into the BCHL winter break on a 3 game losing streak but since Santa Clause came to town they haven’t looked back with a record of 10-0-2-6. Something the players credit too hard work and having great team chemistry. Whether that’s having a little fun with teammates both on and off the ice or staying a little later after practice to practice rebounds, faceoffs, and one-timers.

The Kings will now head to Salmon Arm to take on the silverbacks Friday and look to keep the point streak going against the top team in the BCHL. A team they have a 2-1 record against this season.
