Feb 16, 2022 | 8:20 AM

PRINCE GEORGE —Update: The highway has reopened. Still no word on whether any occupants of the vehicles involved suffered any injuries.

We’ll update the story as soon as any more information is released.

Earlier: Avoid Highway 16 just east of town if you can.

Local Mounties are reporting a two-vehicle crash in the area of Highway 16 and Graves Road. Police say the call came in at 7:22 a.m.

You can expect delays as the highway is expected to be closed for several hours. Detours are available at Graves Road and the Old Cariboo highway.

“The closure will be in effect for several hours as we wait for a collision analyst to arrive and conduct their investigation,” says Prince George RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“We ask for everyone’s patience during this time and remind drivers to slow down when approaching emergency vehicles.”

Police will provide updates as they become available.
