Snowfall warning for Highway 97 north of Prince George

Feb 27, 2022 | 12:25 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — A heads up for anyone travelling north of Prince George.

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Highway 97 between Pine Pass and north of Prince George, Fort St. James, McGregor, Williston, and B.C. South Peace River.

A frontal system is expected to bring 10 centimetres of snow Sunday (Feb. 27), but snow will taper off in the evening.

Drivers are told to adjust their driving with changing road conditions as rapidly accumulating snow will reduce visibility and make travel difficult. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous conditions.
