PRINCE GEORGE — Three people have been arrested following a police incident in Prince George last Thursday night.

As CKPG reported at the time, the incident occurred on the Hart. Prince George RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper says shortly before 10 a.m. that night, police received a report of a vehicle heading into Prince George from Salmon Valley that matched the description of a vehicle recently involved in a shooting incident in Prince George. She says the suspect vehicle had twice failed to stop for Mackenzie RCMP.

“Frontline police and members of the Street Crew Unit located the vehicle heading southbound on Highway 97 where it again failed to stop for police,” she says.

“Investigators caught up with the vehicle in the area of Monterey Road West and Erickson Street where the vehicle had stopped and police observed several people flee from the area.”

Cooper says a Police Dog Services Team joined in the search for the suspects and assisted investigators in locating three people in the area. Police arrested two suspects for flight from police and one suspect was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries; he was subsequently discharged after being medically cleared. The three suspects were released pending further investigation.

She says the investigations are ongoing with police continuing to determine if there is a link between this vehicle and the one seen on surveillance leaving the area of a recent shooting incident.
