Man charged with murder in January Williams Lake death

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The B.C. Prosecution Service has laid a murder charge in a January killing in Williams Lake.

According to RCMP, Kurtis Justin Billy is now facing a single count of second-degree murder. He is awaiting trial in custody.

Early on the morning of January 22, RCMP were called to a disturbance on Carson Drive in Williams Lake. Responding officers found an adult man dead.

Crown counsel filed the murder charge against Billy Tuesday (Mar. 8). His next court appearance is set for next Wednesday (Mar. 16).
